What does a Script Supervisor do?

Script Supervisors are responsible for maintaining script continuity during all stages of filming and production. They keep logs of daily shots and provide production notes and suggestions to help maintain the continuity. In addition, supervisors ensure accuracy by monitoring the script to ensure no dialogue is overlooked. They also cue actors when needed. Supervisors also break down the screenplay to notate various elements, including costume, location, time of day, etc.
