Pittsburgh native Jason Whitner is an entrepreneurial powerhouse. He is the mastermind behind a series of well-curated retail stores and a key player in the sneaker industry. With a college degree in business, Whitner decided to set up shop in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 2005, he opened Flava Factory, his first sneaker store. That was the start to a retail takeover on the Eastern seaboard.
Whitner opened stores in Pittsburgh, Greensboro, Houston, Raleigh, Tampa Bay, Washington and D. C. Aside from selling products, his retail spaces focus on delivering a top-notch customer experience. His A Ma Maniére store in D.C. includes a selection of luxury hotel suites. In 2017, Whitner founded The Whitaker Group, an umbrella company that combines his passion for sneakers, streetwear, football and basketball. Whitner’s stores are housed under the Whitaker Group and there are a variety of opportunities for projects and collaborations.
